Our Team
Meghan McVicker
Meghan McVicker is an editor and creative writing teacher from Wooster, Ohio. She founded Treehouse Literary Arts Studio after seeing firsthand the alchemy that occurs when writers and artists come together in community to share their creativity in a joyful and safe environment.
Meghan lives in the woods with her two sons and an ever-expanding menagerie of animals. She believes in magic.
Dave Hersher
David J. Hersher lives and writes in Massillon, Ohio with his wife Liz, daughter Mary, and three poodle mixes: Seymour, Beatrice, and Isbel. His sons Noah and Matthew are grown, but they’re still on the phone and streaming plans. His short fiction and nonfiction can be found in Bending Genres, Rejection Letters, Roi Fainéant Press, and others. He’s still trying to figure out what to do with davidhersher.com.
His internal critic is named Mario Puzo.
Cillian Martin
Cill (like Kill, not Sill) Martin is a library programmer by day, strategically surrounding himself with books in his day job, and he becomes the embodiment of an overactive imagination while writing at night. He has a spouse, two kids, and two dogs—the volume level in his house is akin to riding a firework into the sky, 24/7. His childhood was spent with a book and notebook wherever he went, living in fantasy worlds and building his own. Nothing has changed on that front in his adulthood.
Deleasa Randall-Griffiths
Deleasa Randall-Griffiths loves stories in all forms. Whether they’re told round the kitchen table, written on the page, or performed for live audiences, she believes stories are at the heart of human connections. She even has a TedX talk on the subject. She earned her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and teaches in the Department of Communication Studies at Ashland University. She is the recipient of the 2020 Taylor Excellence in Teaching Award at Ashland University and the 2012 Ohio Communication Association Innovative Teacher Award. She and her husband, Tom, live at Charles Mill Lake. The creative endeavor they’re most proud of is their adult daughter, Faith, who also loves stories.
Beth Mulcahy
Beth Mulcahy is a poet and writer whose work has appeared in various journals. She writes to bridge the gaps between history and the self, between hurt and healing. Beth lives in Ohio with her husband and two children. She works for a company that provides technology to people without natural speech. Beth’s debut Chapbook, Firmer Ground, is available from Anxiety Press. Beth’s latest publications can be found on her website at www.bethmulcahywriter.com.
